I really like a little of everything. The comics on Microcosmics are a mixture of stream of consciousness stuff and visuals that I enjoy. I am a big Mobius fan (which shows a bit in the backgrounds, I suppose) and also Jamie Hewlitt and James Stokoe and R. Crumb and Charles Burns and Ashley Wood, but I also read a lot of 70’s era sci fi and fantasy books and short stories, which is a little more on the surreal side.
Really, I’ve been doing comics like this in my sketchbooks for ages, and I’ve finally decided to find an outlet for them. They’re quite relaxing in the scope of all the professional work I do, and give me an excuse to use all of the random character designs that I have lying about.
ETA: Also, I’m glad that you’re enjoying them! My best advice for any comics artist is to do what you enjoy and other people will enjoy it too :)
Late night comicking.

New comic at Microcosmics!
Done originally for the Sailor Moon Art Zine, which is currently (to my knowledge) on hold. In any case, you can enjoy the comic here on Microcosmics!
I don’t do many fan comics, but this was a lot of fun: revisiting an old favorite anime, but adding more of my current sensibilities…
